Review: Candy Doll Makeup Base and KATE Mineral BB Gel Cream

It's been awhile since I've done a review on Japanese base makeup, since I've been experimenting a lot with more Western brands (mainly MAC and theBalm) most recently. In my first Tenso order I decided to order the Candy Doll Base from Candy Walker and KATE Mineral BB Gel Cream from Bi-sai.

FOTD using a bunch of new makeup products!

Over the past couple of weeks I've gotten a lot of new things, mostly makeup and lashes. I'll post what I used in my FOTD that's new and do mini-reviews for each item! I'm also wearing my new lenses, Geo Honey Wing. They were purchased for $25 at Elizabeth Center in New York's Chinatown.

What is an "American face"? - Ranzuki 8/11

I was flipping through my newest issue of Ranzuki and found this interesting article that included face shading for different sized heads. This article features Natsumi Saito and she shows how she tries to achieve an "American face". From shading her face to make it look small, shading her nose, doing her eye makeup/lenses and even massaging her face to make it appear smaller. Definitely a must read/see for people who are having a hard time with knowing how to contour their face!

I always wanted to do one of these posts, so I finally got down to it and took pictures of what I normally use everyday (although some products depend on what mood I'm in). I don't have a proper makeup case (most of my other makeup is in a shoebox right now lol) but this will do~

Orange Blushes

It's the summer and time to tan and wear a blush shade suitable: orange! I want to show you my collection because even though orange blush might all look the same, all of them have a big variety of tones!

Although I have to admit I'm guilty of wearing orange blush all year round, it just works the best for my skin tone :3 This post will be similar to the highlighting post I made earlier this week!

Eyemazing Cosme Line Gets!

First off I'd like to thank all my followers <3 I never would've dreamed to have 300+ followers now :D

I'm a big fan of PopSister/Edge Style model Jun Komori, so it shouldn't be a surprise that I went out and bought almost the entire Eyemazing Cosme Line ^^;; This is going to be one of my last makeup purchases in awhile.

Luminous Change: Rumi Itabashi's line of Eyelashes and Crystal Gel Seal

While I'm not a big fan of Rumi Itabashi aka Rumiringo (personal issues), I do have to admit that her line of products looks really nice and doesn't get enough exposure. It's not available in many places and mostly sold out, but we can all drool at the product images and hope they come back in stock soon! Bigger images in the cut~

Diamond Beauty Cream Summer Series, Miki Fujimoto's Eyemazing Line

Last week Diamond Beauty added cream blushes and eyeshadows to their product line for the summer, featuring Remi Sakamoto of Jelly as their model. Eyemazing is really expanding as well, they not only released a line for Mizukitty but also for Miki Fujimoto of Hello! Project fame.

egg's Beauty '11 Spring: Petit Priced Cosmetics - プチプラ

Awhile ago I made another post relating to recession-friendly cosmetics for gals, and egg seems to continue on this trend with their newest Beauty catalog for Spring! Not only does it show you don't need brand name makeup to look this pretty, but that you don't have to spend too much on it as well! Romihi leads this article with rounding up all the other egg models and asking if they own any 100yen cosmetics, Maybelline or Canmake. After the article I'll post some other suggestions and other inexpensive Western brands that are picking up with gal models.

New Products from Candy Doll, Melliesh and Eyemazing

The end of March was a busy month for Pop Sister models Tsubasa Masuwaka, Yui Kanno and Jun Komori. The three girls just released new face base makeup for their three cosmetic lines to the public on 3/25 with the items being released in the first week of April online. Here's some information on the newly released items!

I've been getting a lot of positive feedback recently for the new way I've been doing my eye makeup, so I did a tutorial for it! This will be the same eye makeup I did in this picture:

Outfit and makeup shots for the last AI gathering~

I made a post last month about going to a gathering at Arcade Infinity in Rowland Heights, CA because it was supposed to be its last day of operation. It was saved for a little bit, but due to some issues with the city they're forced to shut down its doors tomorrow (2/27). I went for one last time with my friends, it didn't really hit me that it's really going away though. I've been going there pretty much since it opened 10 years ago, so it's really sad to see it go!

I also went to Beauty Corner for the first time. They have a lot of nice Japanese cosmetics (like KATE, Dolly Wink, Melliesh, etc) but it was even more overpriced than Mitsuwa and Marukai!! Sad face :( But I got one of the Dolly Wink eyeshadow palettes and those scary collagen face masks since they're the same price as the other markets. I only really went to grab the Dolly Wink catalogs but didn't want to leave empty handed ^^;;

My makeup and hair for the day! I did it really similar to yesterday's makeup when I first tried on the Chocolate lenses, except changed my top lashes to Diamond Lash Glamorous eye. I also used Redken's Full Frame 07 Protecting Volumizing Mousse for the first time. My hair looks really healthy after using it and my friends gave me compliments so I will definitely be using this normally now! It also did something that most volumizing products don't do for me: actually add volume to my hair :P

A closeup on my eye makeup. I found out that SMH's Sex Kitten makes a very nice highlighter, which I use under my eyebrow! I thought it was going to go on opaque and pink like most of their shadows but it just adds a bit of twinkle :D

Since my bathroom lighting tends to wash out my makeup on camera, I decided to take a webcam picture showing that I really am wearing a lot of makeup :P

I made a post here about ordering through Momoeri's Moery Rakuten store, and I got my package of goods today!
