I have become addicted to GossMakeupArtist's YouTube page, and he raves about using cream foundation all the time so I decided to get some for a change~ After doing some research online I wanted to get MAC's Studio Tech and decided to go out to the MAC store to get foundation matched! My best friend and I headed over to South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA to go on a makeup binge and be makeup nerds.
Apparently my skintone is pretty unique according to all of the associated at the MAC store, because I have a warm skintone with olive undertones. It made matching pretty hard but we decided on NW30 to be my foundation match to be set with a slightly darker powder (Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Dark was recommended, which I might buy at another time). I also picked up a lipglass in Lust because it was a very pretty matte color, which is definitely hard to get my hands on! I have a lot of shimmery lipglosses.
My gets from Sephora, MAC and Target:
Bottom: Korres Lip balm set, MAC Lipglass in Lust, Tarte for True Blood Cheek Stain in Glamor Me and Sonia Kashuk Brightening Powder.
The contents of the Sephora VIB Hatbox present, which had different variations. The one my best friend got had a Dr. Jart BB cream sample which I didn't get, mine came with a Tokidoki perfume sample instead.
Middle: Philosophy Miracle Worker Anti-aging moisturizer, NARS Pro-Prime, Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash, Benefit Stay Don't Stray
Bottom: Stila Tinted Moisturizer, Tokidoki Perfume
From all of my gets I'm super excited to try out the Tarte cheek stain, since it's a different color of blush other than orange! Definitely a miracle I could find something a different color that would suite me, and I've been getting back into True Blood again so it warms my heart a bit more ♥ I'm also really excited for the NARS primer as well, since I'm always on the lookout for the best primers :D
Also, I hope everyone can check out my Tumblr page! I update it mostly with photo posts, and it is a lot easier for me to update more frequently :)
