Review: Luminous Change No. 05 Eyelashes

Remember to join my giveaway! It is going on until November 11th!

I am so backed up on reviews due to school commitments, but I have some time now to post a review! I am reviewing Luminous Change Eyelash in No. 5, which I bought hoping it would be a dupe for Jewerich No. 2. Some people used keywords on my blog hoping it was a dupe for Diamond Lash Glamorous eye. So is it?

Here's a direct comparison between some similar lashes. You can see that the straight strips aren't quite as wide as the others, but it has a similar length to Eyemazing No. 001.

This is me without any lashes, just my eye makeup.
Eyebrows: NYX Eyebrow Palette and Diamond Eyebrow Concealer in Chocolate Brown
Eyeshadows: Urban Decay's Midnight Cowgirl (brow highlight), Lost (base and bottom eyelid), Sin (crease) from the Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV and Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-In-Place ShadowCreme in Cafe au Lait (base).
Liners: Dolly Wink Liquid Liner on top and Sana Quick Shadowliner EX on bottom.

With only the top lashes:

With both the top lashes and bottom lashes (Luminous Change No. 09):
Overall I don't think it's a real dupe for anything, but the lash itself is still very pretty! The length is perfect, you don't have to cut any excess off or tuck the excess in corners. The curl on it is really nice and they're fairly comfortable. I think they can be glamorous but also still natural enough for normal everyday wear.

These retail for 1,155yen for 5 pairs.

Where to buy this?

  1. They look so pretty! I've been finding it hard recently to not go out with false lashes anymore, so these are extremely attractive to me LOL Anything purely "natural" doesn't do anything for me though, but I also don't like the look of over-the-top-DRAMA!!! lashes, so these might be a good match for myself!! Thanks SO much for the review, you've sold me. XDD

  5. @ Katie
I agree with you about "natural" lashes, they're weird to wear but I have to wear them on occasion for business seminars since I don't think it's good to network with my normal lashes LOL I'm glad I have helped you, and I will be reviewing more styles from this brand soon~

    @ Nana
They are really pretty! Luckily they're pretty affordable online, so hopefully you can buy them in the future ^^

    @ Abbie
If you're ever in SGV they have them available in store at Takashima! Just saw them yesterday, I think they were $18? I love the Getty but I doubt I can go since it's a bit far for me :/

    @ Jen
I don't need lashes anymore either but just keep buying, gotta catch 'em all just like Pokemon :P
I use double eyelid tape since my double eyelids go in and out constantly to my annoyance! I only use D-UP Wonder Eyelid Tape, nothing is as good!
