My HG Highlighter: MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Whisper of Gilt

A lot of people ask me about highlighters, and I have a lot of them. In the picture below is the majority of my collection, but I missed a few (including Benefit Watt's Up! and others that are in palettes):
There is one star in my collection, which is my HG (holy grail) highlighter. I simply feel like I cannot live without it!
♥MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Whisper of Gilt♥
It is limited edition and was released originally in March 2012, but it is being repromoted *right now* in MAC's Holiday 2012 Glamour Daze Collection!

Beauties with medium to dark skin tones, you definitely need this highlighter!

I purchased mine (along with Superb) when the In Extra Dimension collection came out back in March of this year. I decided to do a side comparison between the two shades so you can see the differences in shades:

Superb is more cool/pink-toned while Whisper of Gilt is more champagne/warm-toned. Since I'm warmed tone, Whisper of Gilt is definitely my pick between the two. As you can also see that after about 8 months of fairly often usage, Whisper of Gilt still has plenty of product left in the pan!

Swatch (unblended and blended)
As you can see, it is a champagne (or white gold) shade that blends out for a beautiful glow! You can apply little for an every day look or more for a more dramatic look.

My FOTD (of course wearing Whisper of Gilt):

Small review
This is my HG highlighter! The color suits me very well, the lasting power is really great even with little product used. The price can be a bit hefty at $29, but it contains a lot of product and as you can see in my photo, you don't need to use a lot. So overall the value is great and should not be missed out on!

If you have warm medium-dark toned skin, go for Whisper of Gilt. If you have cool toned skin, go for Superb.

Available now online and in-store where MAC is sold for $29. Do not hesitate, they will probably sell out quickly!

    1. Since you're more fair I would definitely recommend "Superb" for you :) They blend really easily so if it's too much initially you can blend or stipple it in!
