Review: tarte Fantastic Foursome 4-Piece Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Enthusiast Set

Sorry everyone for neglecting to update my blog :( I've had some troubles with negotiating my graduation at school, which is not happening this semester due to some technicalities set in place. I'm pretty upset by this since I worked very hard to get to where I am. but I will continue to work hard and not let it get me down.

But before I get super backlogged with posts, I thought I would post a review and swatches for a set of blushes that came out for the holiday!
The tarte Fantastic Foursome 4-Piece Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Enthusiast Set (what a mouth full!) contains 4 blushes for $35. The full sized blushes are $25 so these are quite a deal!

Here is a comparison between a full-sized tarte Amazonian clay blush and the ones received in the set. The blushes in this set are half-sized.
The shades! Angelic is a nice shimmery highlighter, Fantastic and Magic are matte blushes, and Stellar is a shimmery blush/contour shade.

Swatches:
The swatches with flash. You can see how shimmery Angelic and Stellar are compared to Fantastic and Magic.
Without flash.

When I tried them out I was actually able to make all 4 shades work at once!
- Angelic was my highlighter used on my nose, under eyes, cupid's bow and chin.
- Stellar was used to contour my cheeks.
- Magic was applied on my cheek over Stellar to be my main blush color.
- Fantastic was stippled lightly on top of Magic and Stellar to give a light glow.

What concerned me a bit was that I did actually have to reapply these blushes again after the initial application. These are supposed to be long-wearing shades (hence the 12-hour in the name), but I felt that it didn't last as long as the full-sized ones usually do. I was quite oily on the day where I tested them out though (it was very hot out), which would probably have been the cause for them to not be as long wear.

I would recommend these for people who don't have quite oily skin or for use in the winter time. I felt the wear wasn't quite as comparable as the normal formula. These shades are quite beautiful though, especially Angelic! I hope they will make it a permanent shade in the future.

Where to buy?
$35, Sephora in-store (sold out online), tarte

    1. I did take a face shot of me on the day I wore it but I found it wasn't suitable for the review since you couldn't see past my oil in it! Hopefully sometime sooner I can do a full shot with all of them on like I did previously. The weather is getting cooler here so I think they will work better then :)

    1. This highlighter showed up great on me, but I think there are better highlighters out there! Since it looks like you have darker skin, I would go for Benefit's Watt's Up! or theBalm's Mary-Lou Manizer. My HG highlighter is MAC's Extra Dimension Highlighter in Whisper of Gilt but it was limited edition :(
