D, may I please ask what you think the best lashes/brand are? I've been searching around for second opinions before I shop and all. So far all I know is popular ones are by MAC, Dollywink, Diamond Lash and Jewerich?

ReplyDeleteI think that Diamond Lash are the best in value and style! Since I think I know a lot about them I can tell you a few things about them:
- The first series (hot pink tray) is very basic and good for everyday looks. They're still the most popular and my personal favorites from that line are the Dolly eye (top) and Nudy & Lovely eyes (bottom). From the giveaway sampler pack, the Lovely and Gorgeous are from this line.
- Second series (purple tray) is totally different from the first series and actually might be the most bold of all the series! I haven't tried all of them yet, but Glamorous is my #1 favorite Diamond Lash and it comes from this series. So I'm assuming the rest are good as well and great if you're into dramatic results. These lashes are also the stiffest of the bunch, so they have the most lasting power but might be difficult for eyelash beginners.
- Third series (light pink tray) is called the "Pure" series, and I think that this is supposed to be in a more dolly-look type of direction. The girly and beauty eye in the sampler pack are from this series.
- Fourth series (baby blue tray) is called the "Volume" series, and is supposed to be on the sexy but glam while looking natural type of style.
Both the Pure and Volume series are sort of copying the signature Dolly Wink looks, but they made it more affordable while being very durable. They're not as natural looking as the Dolly Wink lashes, but the new Diamond Lash series are super comfortable and personally for me I'd rather go with value. Another factor about these series is that since the lash bands are so delicate now, you have to use the utmost care in taking these off the tray delicately with tweezers.
I haven't tried Jewerich and MAC lashes because they're really not worth the price to me, but I have tried Dolly Wink and they're very natural looking but I find that their lengths are too big for me. I've heard a lot of negative things about Jewerich when it comes to comfort and price, but a lot of models use them so they must have something good about them!
Other brands of lashes that are very popular with gals right now are D-UP, Melliesh and Eyemazing. I've tried Eyemazing lashes and they're very stiff and hard for beginners to use, but the lasting power of them is really good!
A couple of affordable Japanese brands I like are Pa Dear Laura and Loujene, not all of them are specifically gal but the large majority are!
Some other brands I would recommend are Darkness and Model 21 from Korea, Red Cherry and Ardell from the US and Eylure from the UK! :)

ReplyDeleteYou can buy series 1, 2 and 4 from here: http://ichibankao.com/misc_eyelashes.aspx But they're kind of expensive :/ I used to buy them from Kirei Plaza but they discontinued their International Shipping program so if you want to buy from them you have to use a shopping service now. It's probably worth it though to buy from Kirei Plaza even though you have to use a shopping service because they have a lot of other gal related things including makeup and stockings/tights.
I'm also selling a couple of sets of them (Koakuma eye, Gorgeous eye, Lovely eye, Nudy eye), and I can purchase most of the first series since there's a store that sells them by me. I charge $16 per tray including shipping and can combine :)
