New Years in Las Vegas

Happy belated New Years 2013 to everyone! I've been sick since returning from my trip but I would love to share some photos with my readers.

I usually go to Vegas every year for New Years, since my mom plays at casinos and we always stay for free. This trip was more special because Alex, one of my dearest friends from Canada, came to visit! Since it was his first time there, we spent a lot of time on the Las Vegas Strip since he's a tourist.

There aren't too many pictures, since we spent a lot of the time drinking and not being sober! Even if I did have photos during that time I wouldn't want to show anyone unless it was really funny.

Jonas Brothers Concert at the Pantages Theatre 11/29

If you've read my blog since I started, you might know that I'm a big fan of the Jonas Brothers! They got back together this year to do some shows here and there, so my best friend and I went together to their last show in LA for the year. If this were a few years back I would've attended all three of the shows, but alas school had priority since this was my last full semester at school.

RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race Finale Party at Micky's

Sorry for not posting in awhile! Finals are coming up very shortly so I will be busy for the most part. I wanted to blog about the RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race Finale Party that I went to on Monday (11/26).

This was my first time at Micky's, since I haven't really hung out in WeHo since I turned 21 lol But I had tons of fun and it was really interesting as it was a huge drag show of epic proportions! The ones I usually go to locally are really small so it was fun seeing all of these big name drag queens including Chad Michaels, Raven, Manila Luzon, Willam, Pandora Boxx, Morgan McMichaels, and Yara Sofia.

♥ 4 Year Anniversary ♥

I usually feel like a year passes by so quickly, but this year I've felt the opposite! I just want this year to end so I can start working full-time LOL

So yesterday marked the 4th anniversary of being with Tony! We got together on Election Day of 2008, and also excited for tomorrow as it's Election Day again but we get to vote together since he moved in with me a couple of months ago.

We decided to go up to LA for Disney's Soda Fountain and the Stinking Rose.

I haven't really been enthusiastic about doing Halloween costumes in the past couple of years, and usually just wear a kigurumi! However, when I saw the Adventure Time episode "The Creeps", I knew what I was going to do:

Irvine Global Village Festival, 9/29

Last weekend was the Irvine Global Village Festival, which happens once a year where I live! It is set up to bring many cultures together to celebrate it all in one place. To be quite honest, Tony and I just went for food!

OC BBQ Bonanza 8/18

Today is my first day of school, so I wanted to get posts out of the way in the case my semester gets busy!

I talked about my weight loss in a previous entry, so even though I am eating healthier now I will have the occasional pig-out day! This is totally healthy as long as you make it up in workouts, which I did the next day :) Balance is the key. Anyways...

I haven't eaten American-styled BBQ since before my surgery, so my boyfriend and I decided to go to the OC BBQ Bonanza in Fountain Valley, CA. The entrance was free but parking was $5, so we decided to be cheap and park in a neighborhood near the park and walk to the event LOL That was fine anyways because we knew we'd have to walk off the food we ate later on.

My weekend outings~

This weekend I went out to a few malls to work on some projects for my Fashion class this semester. I thought I would share my personal photos from over the weekend! Although not of anything from my projects since that's secret, but maybe in the future I'll share them ;)

Since I have had to buy a completely new wardrobe since my surgery, I have decided to start dressing more like the style seen in Happie Nuts along with retaining the VANQUISH style I've been following for about a year. I absolutely adore Nicole Abe since I first saw her in Ranzuki, so I'm continuing to follow her now! Hope you all will see the inspiration in my outfits from now on.

7/7:
Tony and I were originally planning on going to a new market out in LA but we decided not to. However, he had the idea of going to Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA instead since it's local and they have great people and dog watching there!

Leap Day at Disneyland + OC Restaurant Week at TAPS

I have been super busy this last week! While it was my spring break I was needed at OBEY full time because we've been doing a bunch of photoshoots. Although it was a lot of work I did really enjoy myself this week, I got to do the makeup for the female model on Thursday and I styled a bunch of tees today for the male model :D I'm really proud of what I accomplished this week, and hope to keep progressing!

Anyways, besides from work this week I got to do two fun things! Tony and I met up with a bunch of friends at Disneyland on Leap Day (29th) for their special "One More Day" event where they were open for 24 hours. Saying it was crazy busy is an understatement!

SHOP MAC Collection Pre-release Event at MAC Pro in Costa Mesa, CA

I got invited to the pre-release event for MAC's SHOP MAC Collection at the MAC Pro store in South Coast Plaza! So my best friend Alice and I decided to go there for free cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while shopping for the collection 2 weeks in advance!

I go to Las Vegas a lot, mainly to visit my friend Jim, who some of you might recognize from the circle lens review for EOS Adult Grey. We did some secret stuff that won't be announced for a bit, but we also got to have some fun as well! I haven't been to Las Vegas during NYE since I've turned 21, so now I can do everything without restrictions! This post will definitely be photo heavy.

Rune Boutique World Debut Party 12/10/11

Hi to all of my readers, new and old! I appreciate you guys bearing with me as I'm about to finish school for the semester. I will also be starting my internship at OBEY Clothing very soon as well, but I hope I will have enough time to blog for all of you lovelies ^^

I was able to take some time off to go to the Rune Boutique World Debut Party, especially to see Kyary!

Joe Jonas 9/21/11 & Demi Lovato 9/23/11

I had a busy week with not only school, but I went to 2 general admission concerts pretty much back-to-back! It was intense but it was tons of fun, especially since I could enjoy all of this with my best friend in the world ♥

Thursday at San Diego Comic Con

Comic Con tickets are hard to come by, but luckily my boyfriend's brother was able to get me a ticket for one day (Thursday). Hopefully next year I'll get a 4 day pass, but we'll see!

I only had a few objectives, which were the following:
- Get the KidRobot figure for Mysterion (South Park) and a couple of the Street Fighter figures for my boyfriend.
- Go to the Pee Wee Herman, Street Fighter x Tekken and Penn & Teller panels.

I have a couple of pictures from when I went, but not too much since they're mostly on the SLR... which was left by my boyfriend in his mom's car! But I'll start with a picture of a burned down trailer on the way to the convention (on Pacific Coast Highway).

NKOTBSB - 7/1 & 7/6

I try not to make it a secret that I'm a teenybopper, so when I found out New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys were doing a collaboration tour together it was like a dream come true! I was fortunate enough to go to their 2 concerts in my area with my wonderful best friend in the world :)

April Fools!

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well for the start of April! It is sweltering hot in Southern California, in the high 80's to 90's!! It'll be good for tanning but I think my arms are already different colors because my left arm is in the direct light of the sun when I drive :'( Oh well... I hope you guys heard good jokes/pranks for those that celebrate this "holiday" :P

I apologize for the lack of meaningful posts within the last month or so, but school has picked up and I've been spending most of my free time playing this game:

Okamiden, which is the sequel to the Capcom game Okami. I just beat it today so I am now free to be bored/figure out what to post on here :P If any of you are looking for a DS game to play I definitely recommend this. The characters are absolutely ADORABLE and the length of play is pretty good (I finished in approximately 27 hours total).

In addition to finishing Okamiden, I received my order from Pinky Paradise today! Remember to use the code dtan0914 for free animal cases and gifts with your items :D I can't do a review for them yet because I need them to soak in contact solution before I try them. I highly advise people to do that if you don't already, your eyes will thank you ;D

I got Dueba Celeb Brown and "Barbie" King Size Brown.

I put "Barbie" like that because the ones I received were actually made by G&G. But you know what, I was actually even more happy for that! If you look on the official Candy Magic store listing for the King Browns you'll see that...

The ones offered on Pinky Paradise are the EXACT same ones in Japan! So no worries about if they're replicas made by another manufacturer, these are the real deal. Highly recommended even more now :D

Seeing Selena Gomez in Costa Mesa, CA and a few products I've been loving recently~

So early Thursday morning of this week I went to South Coast Plaza's opening of their new Microsoft Store for one thing: Selena Gomez wristbands! If you were within the first 800 people in line you would get Premiere viewing (VIP) wristbands, which I was part of fortunately :) So on Saturday morning I dropped off my friend's wristband (she had to do some school stuff before coming) and I headed to the mall. I had woken up early (6am) and didn't have time to do my face at home, SO I DID IT IN MY CAR!! Including my lenses! Amazingly I did it and didn't look like a total mess, but putting on contacts in the car was probably the hardest thing for me lol

Long story short: I waited early and was within the first 50 people in line, so I was in the front row!

Agejo Valentine's day

Tony and I wanted to have a nice Valentine's day, but the day already didn't start off so well because the present I bought for him didn't come... and won't come for ANOTHER WEEK!! Capcom Store, you really screwed us over :( I bought Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for him and it was "99% guaranteed to come before release day", which was yesterday. My order was "shipped" on Friday and it took 4 days for it to travel from MN to IN... which is backtracking because it needs to be in CA! My tracking status still hasn't been updated for it either so I'm not optimistic about getting it any time soon for something that was shipped US Economy Post. :/

lol to make it not any better I got sick over the weekend and am still feeling it. I hate having to miss classes and I've had to do that twice this week already.

But enough rant, I'll get to what Tony and I did! He made reservations for us (2 months in advance) at Blue Bayou, which is a restaurant at the Disneyland Park that is inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

AI Gathering

One of the local Southern California arcades, Arcade Infinity, was originally going to have its last operational day tonight but the plaza decided to save them due to the overwhelming response online from the gaming community. As a local who has been going to the arcade since it opened, I went to see faces I hadn't seen in awhile but also just to hang out with everyone.

Another plus was I received new contacts today from Pinky Paradise, Barbie King Size Pink and Barbie Gossip Grey. I'm not sponsored by them at all and just bought them with my own money~
